Description | The Importance of Adaptive Development in Young Children Description: Adaptive Development refers to the development of behaviors and self-help skills that assist children in coping with the natural and social demands of the environment, including sleeping, feeding, mobility, toileting, dressing, and higher-level social interactions. During this workshop, participants will identify milestones for adaptive development. They will learn to recognize red flags for possible delays in adaptive behavior and explore possible adaptations and strategies to use within the program.
