Description | Effective Guidance: A Positive Approach: Guidance teaches children to solve their problems rather than punishing them for having problems they can’t resolve. During this workshop, participants will explore the difference between guidance and traditional discipline methods. They will explore the advantages of using positive guidance, with emphasis on the importance of relationship building among teachers and children. Participants will gain information about the benefits of using a social emotional curriculum as a tool for teaching a variety of skills and will identify a variety of options available for early learning programs.
